In an alternate universe, there's space pirate groups called Coyotes. And there's a criminal who's name is unknown and only goes by the name of "Mister". After serving time for a year, he breaks out with only 10 days left for his release. The reason is because he made a promise to Bruce(an old friend of his) to watch over his daughter, Fronca and revive the stolen heist money that's been hidden for quite sometime. There's 3 problems in the way. A female Inspector and her young female rookie are trying to arrest him. A mysterious woman with her own league of violent daughters want him dead. And the federal government has planned a time bomb to blow up Graceland(which is the planet that has Bruce's stolen money) due to a long political war on the planet. With all this, it makes the whole adventure a real challenge.
Coyote Ragtime Show is a well thought out Sci-Fi anime. Has everything you'd expect to see in a Japanese made cartoon. There's action, comedy, adventure, and some original stuff mixed with the obvious stuff. The thing I like most about it is the good number of heroines & girls, who have plenty of personality, attitude, and emotion.
Ran for 12 episodes, making it a short series. But highly re-watchable despite it being half as long as other average anime. The whole series is available on 3 DVDs from ADV Films, one of the greatest American Distrubution Anime Companies around.
