'Krypton' TV series will shoot in Northern Ireland
Exclusive: The Superman prequel series will be filmed at the new studio facility in Belfast.

In what looks like a major coup for the Northern Ireland film and TV industry, The Man of Steel is coming to Belfast.

It has been confirmed this week that Krypton, the Superman prequel series, will be the very first production to shoot at the brand new Belfast Harbour Studios (below).

The series, made by Phantom Four in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television for the Syfy channel, will start pre-production in Belfast this month with a shoot date of late summer.

Set two generations before the destruction of the superhero’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe), whose House of El was ostracized and shamed, as he fights to redeem his family’s honour and save his beloved world from chaos.

Based on DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Krypton is executive

Do You Have the Courage to Face the Devil in the Dark?

Tagline: "There's no escape from this." A few details are emerging for Tim J. Brown's (The Cradle) Devil in the Dark. This title will be launching through Video-on-demand platforms in early March. The film stars: Robin Dunne (Sanctuary), Dan Payne (Star Trek: Beyond), Daniel Cudmore and Briana Buckmaster. In the story, brothers Adam and Clint discover a supernatural power, on a long distance hunting trip. Finally, the film's official artwork is here, with more details to follow. The film's artwork looks very Danny Darko-esque. A large antlered entity looms over a small child, with the forest blanketed in fog. It is obvious that the brother's childhoods are influencing the present, with very little light in the darkness. Indie horror fans will not have to wait long to see this title. Devil in the Dark launches on March 7th, 2017. As well, a trailer is expected to roll this way shortly

Question: What can you tell us about Sara Ramirez returning to Grey’s Anatomy? —Gloria

Ausiello: I thought I might have an exciting update for you today, but, alas, there’s still no news on that front. Kevin James is a mall cop no more in first images for Netflix’s True Memoirs of an International Assassin

It looks like Kevin James has traded in his mall cop badge for a license to kill in the first official images for True Memoirs of an International Assassin. Check out the two never-before-seen stills from the upcoming action comedy below…

The film stars James as Sam Larson, a would-be author who is mistaken for an international assassin after his book about a hitman is accidentally published as a true story. As a result of this misunderstanding, the mild-mannered Larson gets trapped between the CIA and drug lords and wrapped up in an assassination plot.

Appearing alongside James in the film are such actors as Zulay Henao (Takers), Andy Garcia (Ghostbusters), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Emilie Ullerup (Sanctuary), Kelen Coleman (The Office), P.J. Byrne (The Legend of Korra), Maurice Compte (Narcos) and Rob Riggle (22 Jump Street).

James may be coming off of a few box office disappointments, between last

This WWE Superstar Wants to Play Cable in Deadpool 2

This WWE Superstar Wants to Play Cable in Deadpool 2
After the monstrous box office success of Deadpool earlier this year, Deadpool 2 is certainly happening, with Ryan Reynolds set to return as the Merc With the Mouth along with director Tim Miller and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The post credit scene of Deadpool featured Ryan Reynolds revealing that the iconic comic book character Cable will be featured in the sequel, with the actor teasing possible candidates such as Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren and even Keira Knightley for the role. While Cable hasn't been officially cast yet, several actors have expressed interest in the role, and it seems we now have another contender, with WWE Superstar turned actor Adam Copeland a.k.a. Edge throwing his hat in the ring.

Adam Copeland, who mentioned the Cable role on Twitter this weekend, joins Stephen Lang, Dolph Lundgren, and Ron Perlman as actors who have expressed their desire to play

Man Of Steel Prequel Series Krypton Closer To Happening at SyFy

We've been talking about the Man of Steel prequel series Krypton for years now, and it looks like it's finally about to head up, up, and away from development hell and onto our TV screens.

Variety reports that SyFy is "nearing completion of a deal on a pilot order" for the show, which takes place 200 years before the events of Man of Steel and follows Superman's grandfather as he tries to restore honor to the family name after the House of El has been shamed.

The biggest problem I can see here is that this is a David Goyer project. I'm not convinced he's the best person to be bringing these DC projects to life, but he's been part of that roster for so many years with the Batman and Superman movies of the 2000s all the way through Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He's writing the pilot with Ian Goldberg,

Dynasty's Most Infamous Cliffhanger Aired 30 Years Ago

Dynasty's Most Infamous Cliffhanger Aired 30 Years Ago
On May 18, 1985, Dynasty concluded its fifth and highest-ever-rated season with a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers: the Moldavian wedding massacre.

Amanda (Catherine Oxenberg), long-lost daughter to Alexis (Joan Collins) and Blake (John Forsythe), is marching down the aisle, soon to wed Prince Michael (Michael Praed), of the European nation of Moldavia. But before the ceremony can conclude, terrorists spray the chapel with bullets, and the season's final moments show the cast lying bloodied and lifeless – but still looking glamorous, of course.

The episode sparked viewer concern for the Carrington clan and their associates. Who could possibly survive? In September, the sixth-season premiere revealed that,
