Christopher Maleki, who plays Gavin Bridge, also appeared in the C.S.I. episode The Descent of Man. Rey Valentin, who plays Julian Feeney, also appears in the C.S.I. episode The Gone Dead Train. James Black, who plays Luther Vandeross, also appears in the CSI: Miami episode Invasion and in the C.S.I. one Willows In The Wind.

One of the characters in this episode was named Luther Vandoss. In real life Luther Vandross was an R&B singer who sold over 25 million records and won 8 Grammys. He sang duets with such artists as Janet Jackson, Maraiah Carey, and many other famous female singers after going solo. He was first a back up singer, than became a singer with a group named Change before becoming a solo artist.

Spike Jonze is a director who began in music videos and commercials and later moved into directing movies and TV shows. Jonze directed the 1999 movie Being John Malkovich and co-created the MTV series Jackass.
