Xavier (2004) was Yuri Alves 1st feature film debut, he made it with the help of family and friends. Yuri used a friend's studio and would edit overnight before the studio opened in the morning. Yuri was a second year undergraduate at NJCU. Demis Tambo who plays Xavier and director Yuri Alves are childhood friends. Igor Alves and Yuri Alves are brothers.
