Somone breaks into a lawyer's home and attacks him and his wife. His wife is killed and he is injured and brought to the hospital. Benson and Stabler investigate and they learn they have a teenage daughter who wasn't there. They learn she was at her boyfriend's. The lawyer wakes up and says he saw his daughter at the house during the attack. they learn she's a party girl who went to pharmaceutical parties and at a party she attended, she ran out of pills and said she would get some at her parents'. They think she was so high she doesn't know she attacked her parents. But later evidence implicates her boyfriend and Stabler tries to arrest him but he runs away and when Stabler tries to subdue him, he dies.
