Myers' Love Guru Sweeps Razzies
Mike Myers was shamed as the "worst actor in Hollywood" at the 2009 Golden Raspberries, a spoof movie awards ceremony.

The comedian's film The Love Guru dominated the 29th annual event, taking home Razzies for worst picture, screenplay and actor on Saturday - a day before the Academy Awards celebrates Tinseltown's finest.

Paris Hilton scored a triple dishonour, winning awards for worst actress for her part in The Hottie and the Nottie and worst supporting actress for her cameo in Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Hilton was also included in the worst screen couple alongside her Hottie co-stars, Christine Lakin and Joel David Moore.

Neither the heiress nor funnyman Myers were present to collect their gold spray-painted Raspberry statuettes.

Pierce Brosnan was named worst supporting actor for his singing turn in Mamma Mia!, while the worst-director Razzie went to Uwe Boll for his three films In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, 1968 Tunnel Rats, and Postal.

Hilton To Return To Repo?
Socialite Paris Hilton could be set to reprise her role in Repo! The Genetic Opera, according to her co-star Alexa Vega. Vega, who starred alongside Hilton in the 2008 rock musical, admits that although the film's producers were disappointed that the picture was only given a limited release in the U.S., they still hope to bring back the cast for a sequel.

She tells Moviehole.net, "From the very, very beginning, we always talked about a prequel or a sequel to this movie. And it’s hard, because as of right now, we all want to do it, but, you know, it didn’t really do as we hoped.

"And we didn’t really have a lot of support. But we’re hoping that the fans will come back, and it will be an underground cult classic that will grow, and that will eventually spark us to do either the prequel or the sequel to this film."

Love Guru Leads Razzie Awards
Mike Myers' comedy The Love Guru is leading this year's Golden Raspberry Awards after scoring seven nominations at the naming and shaming of the year's worst movies.

Funnyman Myers is nominated in the Worst Actor category, and his castmates Sir Ben Kingsley and Verne Troyer also received Worst Supporting Actor nods for their performances in the comedy, about a spiritual healer.

Other actors up for the Worst Actor dishonour include Mark Wahlberg (The Happening and Max Payne) and Al Pacino, who garnered nods for both 88 Minutes and Righteous Kill.

The Love Guru is also up for the Worst Picture Award, competing with M Night Shyamalan's ecological thriller The Happening, Paris Hilton's farce The Hottie and the Nottie, Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

The hotel heiress gets three nods for her turn in the comedy picture, as well as another Worst Actress nomination for Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Hilton will compete for that gong against Jessica Alba (The Love Guru and The Eye), the stars of The Women (Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Meg Ryan), What Happened In Vegas' Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson for both Fool's Gold and My Best Friend.s Girl.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Hollywood on 21 February - a day before the Academy Awards take place.

Hilton Set For Another Film Role
Paris Hilton is to add another movie role to her portfolio - she has been lined up for a new film by acclaimed director Todd Solondz.

The socialite will act alongside Allison Janney, Charlotte Rampling and Paul Reubens in the as-yet-untitled project about a group of dysfunctional characters.

The movie is described as "part-sequel, part variation" to Solondz's hit 1998 tale Happiness and filming is already underway in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Hilton's previous big screen experience includes the 2006 horror film House of Wax and more recently the rock opera musical Repo! The Genetic Opera, which is currently on limited release in the U.S.

Hilton Plans Broadway Bow
Paris Hilton wants to take her gory new movie Repo: The Genetic Opera to the stage - because she's convinced the project could be a big Broadway hit.

Hilton admits she has been offered Broadway roles, but nothing took her fancy.

She'd jump to star in Repo onstage, however.

She tells WENN, "If they did Repo on stage I'd do it because I really believe in it and I love it, but I wouldn't do anything else."

Bousman Upset His Mother With Hilton Casting
Horror moviemaker Darren Lynn Bousman's mother was so distraught when the director first cast Paris Hilton in his new movie Repo! The Genetic Opera she threatened to disown him.

Like many friends, fans and critics alike, Bousman's mum was more than surprised when he announced Hilton as his star.

And he admits he fought the idea of having the socialite in his film for the longest time: "I was adamantly opposed to casting Paris because the first thing people said to me was, 'Think of the press you'll get if you put Paris in it.' I thought, 'Whatever horror cred I have is about to go down the toilet.'

"My mother calls me crying from Kansas City - 'Why did you cast her, that charlatan?' She was very upset.

"My mother logged onto this website and read, 'Paris Hilton caught smoking dope in back alley.' That's not Paris Hilton. The paparazzi took pictures during a break while we were recording the soundtrack and she was drinking a water; the smoke was coming from the musicians smoking cigarettes.

"People spin these stories about her and that's how they know Paris Hilton. My idea of Paris, before I met her, was this really spoiled rich kid who is better than everyone else. As it turns out she was not the person I expected her to be. She was so charming.

"She stayed at the exact same hotel and ate at the same restaurants, and went to the same s**tty bar as all of us. I'm a dive bar kind of guy and she didn't come with an entourage or a single dog. She had just gotten out of her legal trouble so it was important for her to show that she wasn't this person. She really won me over."

If you click the link you can chew on new photos, blogs, a pretty long behind-the-scenes feature and of course the high quality version of the trailer that was removed last week. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-iv), the film has been given a tentative November 7th limited release, which pits the horror-musical against the new James Bond movie (yikes!). In the not-so-distant future when an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet, scientists gear for a massive organ harvest. A biotech giant comes up with easy organ payment plans, but all financed organs are subject to legal default, including repossession at the hands of repo men.
