Violet Nottingham (Teresa Palmer) is a spoof of Paris Hilton. Both are daughters of hotel owners who are always partying and being chased by the media and paparazzi on a daily basis.

The bulldog shown in the movie is Adam Sandler's beloved pet, Motzaball.
According to Adam Sandler, Russell Brand's performance out of the main cast scored the highest among test audiences.
In the movie, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is shown on the TV. Adam Sandler worked with Cole and Dylan Sprouse on Big Daddy.
Just before Skeeter is offered the Ferrari horse there is a poster on the tree advertising "Hybrid Mules" for sale. As well as being a reference to Jill's choice of car, a mule is a horse/donkey hybrid.
The first family film and only Disney film produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions. It received a PG rating whereas all previous entries were PG-13 or R.
While Skeeter is going through the driving range one of the golf balls that go by has the Happy Madison Productions logo on it.
On the demolition board, one of the names is Harry E. Otto, who is the assistant art director of the movie.

All computers seen in the movie are Apple computers
Jonathan Pryce (Marty Bronson) and Richard Griffiths ( Barry Nottingham) were a part of a movie franchise, though they never shared any screen time. Jonathon Pryce played Governor Swan in the first 3 Pirate of the Caribbean movies and Richard Griffiths had the small part of King George in the 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

The trailer shows a scene where Skeeter reveals to Mickey, (the room service guy), that the bedtime story he told his niece and nephew the night before came true but this was not actually shown in the theatrical release of the movie.

Cameo 

Jackie Sandler, Sadie Sandler: The woman and the little girl in the Medieval story who pick up Adam Sandler's hat after his horse vanishes, are his wife Jackie and their daughter Sadie, making her film debut.
Rob Schneider: appears as a thief in the "real life" story and as a Native American horse trader in one of the Western story sequences. He says his signature line 'I can do it' in the "story" scene.

The trivia item below may give away important plot points.

When they are doing the Broadway presentation for the manager of the new hotel, Kenneth says, "A pool for the sharks. And a pool for the jets." This is a reference to West Side Story, a musical based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
