Ten years earlier, in the movie, "Set It Off" (1997) Queen Latifah was a member of an all-female robbery ring (Vivica A. Fox, Jada Pinkett, Kimberly Elise), whole stole money from various banks. At the end of this movie, Diane Keaton has stashed some of the stolen money away; at the ending in "Set It Off", Jada Pinkett gets away with her share of the money because the cop who accidentally shot and killed her brother owed her a blood debt.
