The story of how "The Guiding Light" was created as a radio drama in the 1930's is presented with current cast members recreated the actors and characters from that time. Irna Phillips is shown acting out each story while her transciptionist writes out each radio script. Irna convinces Jack, a CBS executive to move the show to the new medium sweeping the nation, television! The show's history as both a radio and TV program are presented and some of the key story lines are recreated. Jack informs Irna that "The Guiding Light" will move exclusively to television. That was 1952 and the show is still entertaining today, 70 years after its beginnings! Written by GL Fan
