Live from Memphis, TN

Curt Hennig starts the show. Curt Hennig says he's the world's greatest athlete and he has his reasons for being here. The crowd is booing him. Okerlund asks Hennig if he's gonna be DDP's partner at Bash at the Beach. Hennig avoids the question, but says he'll be at Bash at the Beach. Ric Flair interrupts. Flair tells Hennig to join the Horsemen. Hennig says he hasn't made up his mind and everyone will find out at Bash at the Beach.

Public Enemy Vs Harlem Heat (W/Sister Sherri)

Public Enemy wins after Sister Sherri costs Harlem Heat the match. Harlem Heat fires Sister Sherri after it's over. The best thing about this is Gene Okerlund calling Vincent "Virgil" As far as the match goes, it's what you'd probably expect from these two teams.

Konnan Vs Joe Gomez

Konnan wins by submission. This was garbage that I didn't give a rat's ass about. Konnan never interested me all that much.

Juventud Guerrera & Hector Garza Vs Villano IV & V

Juventud & Hector win. If you're a fan of Lucha Libre like I am, you'll enjoy this. There is plenty of high-flying action and cool stuff in this one.

Scott Hall & Randy Savage invade the announcer's table. Larry Zbyszko stays and rebels against them. Scott Hall calls DDP a mid- card jabroni and says he and The Macho Man will take care of DDP and his partner at Bash at the Beach. Savage says he's taking DDP very lightly. Hall and Zbyszko almost get into it.

Lex Luger & The Giant are interviewed about their match against Hulk Hogan & Dennis Rodman at Bash at the Beach.

Buff Bagwell & Scott Norton Vs Eddie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero, Jr.

Bagwell and Norton win after Eddie abandons Chavo. This was basically a handicapped match 60% of the time. Chavo showed good fight and resiliency in his fight. Too bad, nobody really cared.

'Macho Man' Randy Savage (W/Scott Hall & Elizabeth) Vs La Parka

La Parka turns out to be DDP. He hits a diamond cutter on Savage to get the surprise win. This was pretty damn awesome. Even though I knew it was coming, it still put a smile on my face. It's a really well done swerve. Nobody saw it coming back then.

Glacier & Earnest Miller Vs Psychosis & Silver King

The match ends in a no-contest after all hell breaks loose when Wrath and Mortis interfere. Can this feud between Glacier and Mortis & Wrath end already?! I'm so tired of it.

Ric Flair says Roddy Piper is here tonight, but it turns out to be a mannequin. He says Piper is a punk and that he carried Piper like he did everybody else. Piper shows up behind Ric Flair. Piper and Flair brawl inside the ring. Flair gets stripped down to his boxers. Chris Beniot & Steve McMichael run in to make it 3 on 1. Somebody runs in to save Piper, but they cut to commercial break before we can fully see it who it is.

Stevie Richards tries to get answers from Raven about his contract with WCW, but Raven slaps Stevie and walks away.

The Steiner Brothers Vs Chris Beniot & Steve McMichael (W/Debra)

The Steiner Brothers win after Kevin Sullivan costs Beniot the match. Wow. What an entertaining match. There were so many things going on here. Jeff Jarrett went after McMichael, Sullivan kept fighting with Jacqueline, and the match was pretty fun as well. Good stuff overall.

**3/4 out of 5

Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff are out. Hogan and Bischoff get pelted with trash. Hogan cuts his usual heel promo about how his arms are bigger than everyone. The Giant and Lex Luger come out. Luger puts Bischoff in the Torture Rack and The Giant chokeslams some nWo members.

This is an entertaining episode of Nitro. It actually features some decent wrestling, and there were other fun things happening as well.
