Jeff Jarrett & Steve McMichael (W/Debra) Vs High Voltage
Jarrett and McMichael win. I actually didn't mind this. It was a glorified squash match, but definitely one of the better ones I've seen.
Roddy Piper is out next for an interview. He cracks some Spring Break jokes and says Howard Stern refuses to have him on his show. He says Stern has knocked him for giving some unknowns a chance. Piper rips the WWF for not having anybody hip enough to watch their show and claims that's why WCW are winning the ratings. He says when he beat Goldust, he had one hip. Piper says to hell with the critics and the unknowns are his family. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Steve McMichael & Jeff Jarrett interrupt. Arn Anderson tells the unknowns that this is a job for professionals, not amateurs. Arn claims they share hatred for the nWo. Arn Anderson says The Four Horsemen and Roddy Piper need each other. Flair says Piper has broken a rule they shared, never overmatch yourself. Flair says Piper can no longer do it on his own. Flair offers The Horsemen's services to Piper. Piper accepts and says it'll be an honor to ride with the Horsemen.
Prince Iaukea Vs Squire Dave Taylor
Iaukea wins. The real story here is that an unknown assailant attacked nWo member, M. Wallstreet while the nWo was arriving. The match was nothing special.
Eddie Guererro Vs Jim Powers (W/Teddy Long)
Eddie wins after he tosses Powers into Teddy Long. Gene Okerlund tells Eddie he's changed. Eddie says he's getting sick and tired of this. His friends and family think he's changing when he hasn't. He says Dean Malenko's attitude is the problem. He says he refuses to tell Dean his game plan for their match at Uncensored.
Diamond Dallas Paige Vs Sgt. Craig Pittman
DDP wins with the Diamond Cutter. The power goes during DDP's interview after the match and we are unable to hear it. Why won't that happen to a Hollywood Hogan promo?
We come back and the power is back on. DDP is resuming his interview. He says he hasn't forgotten about what Randy Savage did to him. DDP tells Randy Savage is gonna remember his name. He calls Randy Savage "Monkey Boy" and says Savage should call him DDP.
Rey Mysterio Jr. Vs Galaxy
Rey wins with a springboard huricarana in very quick fashion. It was a basic squash match.
Your hosts are Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay & Bobby Heenan
"Miss Nitro" Pamela Rogers is introduced before the crowd. I'm not even gonna recap it because it's pointless. She was relatively hot.
Lex Luger, The Steiner Brothers & The Giant Vs The Amazing French Canadians, Greg Valentine & Road Block
Luger's team wins when The Giant chokeslams Roadblock. Luger tells Roddy Piper not to trust The Four Horsemen because they are cutthroat. The Giant, and The Steiner's talk as well but it's not really worth mentioning.
The Ultimate Dragon (W/Sonny Onoo) Vs Juventud Guerrera
Nice! Give them some time, please. The Dragon wins with a tiger suplex. They got some time and the match delivered. This match was a lot of fun and had some great spots from both. If only it went a bit longer...
Chris Jericho Vs Scotty Riggs
Riggs wins by DQ after Buff Bagwell interferes and attacks Riggs. This was going pretty good until the interference from Bagwell. Riggs didn't really accomplish that much in his time in WCW, but he was a competent wrestler.
Madusa is out for an interview. She says she is sick of every female in WCW calling themselves a number one contender. She also claims she was the first woman in WCW. She says she's the number one contender and criticized Luna Vachon for not being there.
Kevin Sullivan (W/Jimmy Hart & Jacqueline) Vs Hardbody Harrison
The match ends in a no-contest after Sullivan literally beats him up all over the building. He even throws Harrison in the pool afterwards. Sullivan cuts a muddled promo afterwards.
Here comes the nWo to do their thing. Hogan and Bischoff announce Dennis Rodman as the newest member of the nWo. Whoopty Doo! They present Dennis Rodman as a threat to WCW. Sting is out there with them. They present Sting with a nWo shirt as Sting looks on perturbed. They brag more about Dennis Rodman to end this pointless segment. Eric Bischoff being out there completely nullifies his suspension. Terrible booking. For those who are lost, Eric Bischoff was suspended by a guy who works for Ted Turner, Dr. Harvey Schiller the week before this.
Public Enemy is out next. Johnny Grunge actually is quite funny by making fun of Ric Flair's antics. He claims Flair looks like he's having an epileptic seizure. He says Arn Anderson is a shell of his former self, claims Steve McMichael should have stuck in the NFL, and says Jarrett is riding the coattails of The Horsemen. Harlem Heat comes out and brawls with Public Enemy before Nitro goes off the air.
I wasn't impressed by this episode at all. I liked the Panama City Beach setup with the beach, pool, and all the other stuff, but it was a rather uneventful episode.
