The Giant rushed the NWO's locker room during the Harlem Heat-High Voltage match, and the camera did not stay on Scott Hall, who appeared to have a swollen face, a black eye and a bandage. When the Outsiders (Hall and Kevin Nash) made their way out after the Diamond Dallas Page-Mark Starr match, Hall stayed in the background. Allegedly, Jerry Saggs (Jerry Sags) of the Nasty Boys had legitimately beaten up Hall at a house show on January 4th in Arkansas, in response to concussions he had suffered from Hall and Nash throwing chairs at the back of his head. That match marked Saggs' last-ever appearance in WCW and Brian Knobbs' (Brian Yandrisovitz) last WCW match for two years.
Diamond Dallas Page turned face (good) here by rejecting the NWO and giving Scott Hall a Diamond Cutter.
When NWO members Eric Bischoff, Ted DiBiase and Vincent (Mike Jones) took over the announce booth, Larry Zbyszko told Bischoff, "If you keep messing up, you'll be mowing Verne Gagne's lawn." Bischoff did get his start in the wrestling business as an assistant for Gagne, mowing his lawn and getting him his coffee.
