Sting was ridiculously popular

Hour one.'

Live from Monroe, LA

Your hosts are Tony Schiavone & Larry Zbyszko

Glacier Vs Bobby Eaton

Glacier wins easily with a spin kick, This match had a couple of botches for a squash match. It's not like I cared, though.

Strap Match

Big Bubba Rogers Vs Konnan (W/Jimmy Hart)

Konnan wins. Thankfully, this didn't go too long. As you may have guessed, the match kinda sucked.

Kevin Sullivan is with Gene Okerlund in the back. Sullivan demands that WCW stop playing tapes of Chris Beniot and Woman. Apparently, there is new footage of Woman with somebody else.

Nobody in The Four Horsemen know where Chris Beniot and Woman are. Anderson doesn't approve, but Ric Flair thinks Beniot deserves some nights out. Jeff Jarrett comes out and interrupts. He insults Arn Anderson and starts getting his ass kicked. It looks like we have ourselves a match.

Arn Anderson Vs Jeff Jarrett

Jarrett wins with his feet on the ropes. Flair goes to get in Jarrett's face, but Debra steps in front of Jarrett and pleads with Flair to stop. McMichael tells Flair to back off, protecting Debra. Shoving ensues before Ric Flair plays peacemaker and calms everyone down.

Thoughts: I never cared for the new version of the Four Horsemen. I thought they were poorly thrown together. I don't like Steve McMichael, Jeff Jarrett is overrated, and I can't stand Debra.

Television Championship

Lord Steven Regal (C) Vs "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

This was originally supposed to be Diamond Dallas Paige, but he didn't show up. Zbyszko said it perfectly. "Oh no! Not Duggan!" Eric Bischoff, Kevin Nash, and Syxx invade the announcer's table and chase away Zbyszko and Schiavone. It's revealed that DDP has joined the nWo. Duggan has the match won, but the time limit expires. Thank god that match is over with.

Hugh Morrus Vs Jim Powers (W/Teddy Long)

Morrus wins with a moonsault. This was a glorified squash match. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hour two.

Your hosts are Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay & Bobby Heenan

Rey Mysterio Jr. Vs Psychosis

Mysterio wins with a huricarana. This was a really good match with all the high-flying moves you'd expect from these two. When these two wrestle, you can be assured that the match will be exciting.

Kevin Sullivan (W/Jimmy Hart) Vs Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Sullivan wins with a double stomp to the chest. I'll be generous and give this match one star. Chavo got in a bit of high-flying offense.

Eddie Guerrero Vs Alex Wright

Eddie wins with the frogsplash. Syxx shows up during the match and climbs a ladder. This match started off too slow. It picked up a bit after a while, but by then it was too late.

The Amazing French Canadians (W/Col. Parker) Vs Harlem Heat (W/Sister Sherri)

Harlem Heat wins. These two have faced each other so many times on Nitro. I wasn't a fan of the matches to begin with.

Lex Luger Vs Meng

Lex Luger wins by racking The Barbarian. No, that's not a typo either. A weird finish aside, this was better than I thought it was going to be.

Out next, is Hollywood Hogan and the nWo. Hogan says he had a blast beating up Roddy Piper and The Giant on the same night last week on Nitro. The Giant comes out and fends off the entire nWo for a little while before the numbers game becomes too much. They obliterate The Giant and leaving him lying in the ring. While the nWo takes over the announcer table, Sting comes down and yells in The Giant's face before leaving the bat next to him. Vincent comes down to finish off The Giant with the bat, but The Giant gets up and chokeslams Vincent. He fends off the nWo with the bat to end the show.

Thoughts: Since the nWo gets the upper hand most of the time, it's always nice to see somebody else get the upper hand. I'm not a big fan of The Big Show/aka The Giant, but he did decent here.

This episode was OK at best. The ending was rather hot and Mysterio Vs Psychosis was fun to watch as well. Those are about the biggest highlights.
