Sting Vs Hogan II

Live from Baltimore, MD

Goldberg Vs Glacier

Goldberg absolutely destroys Glacier. What a pleasant sight that was. Glaicer is one of the worst gimmicks ever, so I was very happy about this. The crowd loved Goldberg.

Bret Hart comes out to a huge ovation. Yet, Bischoff decided to put him with the nWo like an idiot after a while. If you look closely, you can also spot Stacy Keibler in the crowd as a Bret Hart fan. He says a lot of people questioned his loyalty to WCW. He says he proved he was a traditionalist when he screwed Hogan last night. He says the nWo are the lowest scumbags in the world and they remind him of the WWF. He says he wants to wrestle the likes of Sting, Chris Benoit, Lex Luger, and The Giant. Now, Bret is getting some boos. I thought today's fans were bad. He says he wants the nWo, but he wants Hulk Hogan the most. He says Hogan ran away from him a long time ago. That's true. Hogan didn't wanna job to Bret at Summerslam. He says Hogan will step into the ring with the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

Raven says Benoit is a masochist and he insists on giving Benoit punishment every week.

Chris Beniot Vs Van Hammer

Beniot has the match won before The Flock comes in. Oh F****! Steve McMichael comes in and cleans house. Just what we needed. A storyline to keep this bum relevant.

Ric Flair congratulates DDP on winning the US title from Curt Hennig and says DDP can style and profile. He says he isn't finished with Curt Hennig. He says Sting saved WCW at Starrcade. He gives Bret Hart credit for doing the right thing. Flair is offended that Bret didn't mention his name. He's also offended that Dave Meltzer called Bret Hart the greatest of all time. I'm a Bret Hart guy, so I agree.

Cruiserweight Title

Eddie Guerrero (C) Vs The Ultimo Dragon

The Dragon shockingly wins the title with a dragon sleeper. WOW! On one hand, I'm overjoyed as a huge Ultimo Dragon fan. On the other, it made Eddie look pretty weak. Still a really cool moment.

Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff are out. Hogan says he's the man and he made wrestling into what it is today. Hogan shows footage of J.J Dillon saying the referee for the Sting and Hogan match at Starrcade was Nick Patrick. Nick Patrick did a fast count. Hogan says he wants a new ruling of the bout between him and Sting last night.

Bobby Heenan weasels his way back to the broadcast booth, claiming that he joined the nWo to protect everyone. Oh, Bobby!

United States Title

DDP (C) Vs Mortis

DDP wins with the Diamond Cutter. Wasn't much of a match, but it was a good way to kick off DDP's reign as United States Champion.

* out of 5

J.J Dillon says Sting will put the title up for grabs against any member of the nWo.

Television Title

Disco Inferno (C) Vs Booker T

Booker T wins the title. This officially turned Booker T into a legitimate single's star. Stevie Ray celebrates with his brother. Very cool moment.

Eric Bischoff says Hulk Hogan will challenge Sting tonight in the main event

Curt Hennig Vs Chris Jericho

OH, MAN! Hell yes! Hennig wins with the Hennig plex. This was disappointing. They didn't get to do very much at all. It's a dream match of mine and when both are motivated and in their prime, this could be special. Jericho also starts his heel turn by flipping out and whacking the post with a steel chair. Jericho would be much better off as a heel in WCW than a face.

Scott Hall does his survey thing.

Buff Bagwell Vs Lex Luger.

Luger wins with the Torture Rack. Luger says he's coming after Savage next. Thank god this feud is over.

World Heavyweight Title

Sting (C) Vs 'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan

The match goes off the air as Hogan pulls the referee in during a Stinger splash attempt. What a stupid cliffhanger. I didn't agree with this at all, nor did I agree on a rematch this soon. WCW mucked it all up. The match was actually much better than the one at Starrcade.

**1/2 out of 5

Well, despite the lame cliffhanger ending, this was a fun Nitro. Booker T won his first title and it was super enjoyable overall.

7/10
