For the first time in over a year, Sting gets beaten up.

Live from Memphs, TN

The entire nWo is out. They are coming out with Canadian flags. They bring back Kevin Nash, who was out for a lengthy period. Both Scott Hall and Kevin Nash are out with their Tag Team Title, even though they lost to The Steiner's. Classic Nash makes fun of hadicapped people. Classy. Kevin Nash says he'll face The Giant at World War 3. Eric Bischoff takes a shot at Bret Hart knocking out Vince McMahon backstage. Bischoff and the nWo attempt to sing The Canadian National Anthem. Bischoff claims Bret Hart is the newest member of the nWo.

Gene Okerlund is gonna reveal details of Bret and Vince's fight after Survior Series on the WCW hotline. Bischoff was brilliant at times, but he was a scumbag.

Harlem Heat Vs Steven Regal & Dave Taylor Regal and Taylor get the shocking win. Uh. I'm not sure what this accomplished. Random as hell, to say the least.

3/4* out of 5

Chris Jericho Vs Disco Inferno Jericho wins with the Lion Tamer. This was a squash victory for Jericho and rightfully so. Billy Kidman throws a drink in Inferno's face, so Disco hits him with The Chart Buster (a stunner) The Flock attacks Inferno until Scotty Riggs saves the day. He refuses to hit Raven.

Glacier Vs The Barbarian

*groans* Glacier wins, Jimmy Hart returns, Meng kicks Glacier's ass after the match. Time to move on.

Raven says he was abused and bullied as a kid. He has a message for all the freaks, disenfranchised, the hopeless. He says the fans made him into what he is today. Van Hammer makes the return everyone wanted. He's got body piercing, namely a nipple piercing.

Yuji Nagata (W/Sonny Onoo) Vs Alex Wright (W/Debra) *bangs head on the desk* Bischoff doesn't even care at this point. Nagata wins by submission. The only noteworthy thing here is Sonny Onoo kissing Debra.

Eric Bischoff and Hollywood Hogan are out. Bischoff is incensed because Sting is starring in a movie. He calls Sting a Hollywood wannabe. Hogan calls out Sting and says he (Hogan) runs Hollywood.

Television Title

Saturn (C) Vs Chris Beniot Saturn retains after using the ropes. Beniot kicks The Flock's ass until Fit Finlay comes in and beats up Beniot.  The announcers are so busy promoting World War 3, they don't even see the finish. WCW was slowly going to hell at this point. Overexposure, an aging roster, politics, you name it. It wasn't Tony Schiavone's fault. He was just doing what he was to.

*1/2 out of 5

Ric Flair tells Lex Luger it's nothing personal tonight, he's just in his way. He calls himself the greatest performer of all time. He says he's gonna either break Curt Hennig's arm, leg, or snap his neck. He says after he wins World War 3, he and Gene Okerlund will have an all- night party with the Nitro Girls. Cruiserweight Title

Eddie Guerrero Vs Rey Mysterio Eddie wins the title with a Frogsplash. Dean Malenko comes out and has a staredown with Eddie. This was a dynamite little match for the time that it was given. The Malenko and Guerrero staredown was mouth- watering.

'Macho Man' Randy Savage (W/Elizabeth) Vs Ray Traylor Savage wins after Elizabeth interference. Savage drops 4 more flying elbows off the top after the match. Elizabeth gets into the act and sprays Traylor as well. Same old chit.

United States Title

Curt Hennig (C) Vs DDP DDP wins by DQ. DDP accidentally busts Hennig's mouth completely open when he kicks the belt in Hennig's face. I enjoyed this match. It had some excellent psychology. Hennig working on DDP's injured ribs was great stuff.

**1/4 out of 5

Ric Flair Vs Lex Luger Luger wins by DQ after Hennig interferes. Flair and Hennig brawl after the match. It's amazing that Flair can go from playing a heel to a face, all in one match. Some will argue it's just Flair being Flair. I actually enjoyed this match. It was decent fun and had a good pace.

**1/2 out of 5

Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff are out. Hogan says Sting is a coward. He calls the fans Hollywood wannabes and says they are a bunch of pukes. He says he'll crucify Sting. Sting comes down from the rafters. It turns out to be a setup. Sting gets attacked by the nWo and humiliated. This was memorable because it was the first time Sting was vulnerable. He had his way with the nWo and I think it was necessary. It was risky because it could have ruined the mystique, but I think it was well done.

Overall, this had some solid matches, good story lines, and it was well-paced. It's definitely worth a watch.
