Toys Offer Another Look at The Lizard From ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ Corroborate Action Setpiece Rumors

30 December 2011 1:00 PM, PST | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

The first vague look [1] we had at the Lizard in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man was via a fairly low-rent plastic rendering: a Pez dispenser. (Well, the first look those who weren't in Hall H when Sony debuted the character at Comic Con, anyway.) Concept art [2] followed on the heels of that reveal, and now we've got another toy to help shape our understanding of the character's look. This time, however, the toy boats an actual photo of the guy, albeit a low-quality one. In addition, another toy set seems to reveal an action setpiece in the film. As it turns out, this is one that we reported on a long time ago. I've used old art of the Lizard in the header to avoid spoiling things for those who don't want to see anything before a new trailer hits, so hit the jump for all the new details. »

30 December 2011 12:13 PM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

We still haven't seen an official image of The Lizard from Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, but we have gotten hints at what he could end up looking like. Some of these hints have come in the form of toys, like this Pez Dispenser, while we've also seen some concept art. Sadly it doesn't seem like Sony is going to post any new images or trailers that would suggest more about The Lizard's appearance before the new year hits, but today we do have some new toys that not only show more of the villain, but also may give us a hint at some of the plot points. *Note: Some of what you see below might be considered spoilers. If you're looking to go into The Amazing Spider-Man knowing absolutely nothing about it, turn back now. The images come courtesy of Idle Hands. First up, let's look at an »

New Look at The Lizard from The Amazing Spider-man

30 December 2011 10:20 AM, PST | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

While we have yet to see an official image released of The Lizard from Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, we've seen a leaked scanned image and a pez dispenser. Today we bring you an image of Rhys Ifans as the Lizard on a decal for cheap looking hand held game.

The Lizard we saw in action at Comic-Con was much bigger and much more menacing, but this might be one of the stages of evolution that the character goes through. This could still just be an early concept image though to slap on a toy to see how it looks. What are your thoughts on the look?
