Ellen's Acres was one of the shows I thought really got it right. I'm all for more educational shows for kids. Frankly, there are not enough of them. It's important to encourage children to use their imagination. There is nothing more precious and fragile. I thought the animation was great too, very colorful. It keeps a child's attention to Ellen and her friends. Children learn while their entertained with each new world Ellen visits.
As for Cartoon Network, I think Ellen's Acres is definitely a step in a better direction for them. It's wonderful that their interested in putting together a line of shows for small children. We need more shows like Ellen's.
