Loving all the Cruiserweight action!

Hour One.

Live from Palmetto, FL

Your hosts are Tony Schiavone & Larry Zbyszko

Juventud Guerrera Vs Billy Kidman

Guerrera wins with a fancy frankensteiner from the top. This was damn good stuff while it lasted. They only got about four minutes or so, but both made impressions.

**1/2

Marcus Bagwell & Jim Powers (W/Teddy Long) Vs Kevin Sullivan & Big Bubba Rogers (W/Jimmy Hart)

Powers and Bagwell initially win after Powers hits Rogers with a cross body. However, Nick Patrick restarts the match, and Rogers immediately hits Powers with the Bossman slam to get the win. Despite the crappy finish, this was actually a decent match. It was surprisingly exciting and the crowd was into it.

**1/4

Big Bubba Rogers says he's sick of all the Glacier promos and says he'll take care of him when he arrives in WCW. Sullivan says people should have listened to him over a year ago about Hogan. He says It's a joke that WCW is relying on The Four Horsemen.

Sting & Lex Luger are offended over the fact that Ric Flair and Arn Anderson are testing them by having them face Steve McMichael & Chris Beniot later tonight.

Chavo Guerrero Vs Mike Enos (W/Dick Slater)

Enos accidentally thumbs referee, Randy Anderson in the eye. Slater and Enos pull a switch, but Chavo ends up getting Slater in a small package to get the win. This was another stupid finish. The match itself was OK.

*1/2

Chavo is looking forward to his match with DDP at Fall Brawl. When you mess with one Guerrero, you mess with all of them. Chavo is hard to like. I dislike him in general.

Cruiserweight Championship

Rey Mysterio (C) Vs J.L

J.L is Jerry Lynn. Mysterio wins with the West Coast Pop. (springboard huricarana) This was a very disappointing match between these two. Most of the focus was placed on the NWO spray painting graffiti all over the production truck. It was cool, don't get me wrong. It just took away from the match.

**

Hour two.

Your hosts are Eric Bischoff & Bobby Heenan.

Steve McMichael & Chris Beniot are having trouble accepting that Sting and Luger are taking their place at Fall Brawl.

Randy Savage cuts a promo that makes no sense what so ever, but like always, he comes across as endearing anyway.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan" Vs The Giant (W/Jimmy Hart)

The Giant wins with a chokeslam. Forget this crappy match! I was too busy going nuts over Ted Dibiase showing up. This is why the Monday night wars were so exciting.

*

The Giant says it's not his fault that he lost to Hogan. He predicts Savage will fail to get the job done against Hogan at Halloween Havoc, and The Giant will be the one to defeat Hogan.

The Rock & Roll Express Vs Ric Flair & Arn Anderson (W/Woman & Miss Elizabeth)

Flair and Anderson win. I was a bit surprised at how short this was I expected The Express to get in some more offense.

*1/4

Ric Flair insists he heard Hulk Hogan give up at Clash of the Champions. At Fall Brawl, there in Flair Country, and the whole world will hear Hogan give up.

Chris Jericho Vs Alex Wright

This is Jericho's WCW debut. The match ends in a no-contest. Alex Wright hits his head on the guardrail on the outside. Jericho refuses to accept a victory like that. He says Hulk Hogan might, but not him. He and Alex Wright are gonna help put a stop to the NWO.

**

Thoughts: It was fun to see Jericho so young in his career. It was also weird to see him play a goody two shoes.

The Steiner Brothers Vs Bobby Eaton & Dave Taylor

The Steiner's win. Bobby Eaton and Taylor wind up brawling with each other after the match. I don't think anybody cared about a feud between Taylor and Eaton.

*1/4

The Steiner's cut a promo about facing Harlem Heat at Fall Brawl.

Chris Beniot & Steve McMichael (W/Miss Elizabeth, Woman & Debra) Vs Sting & Lex Luger

The match ends in a no-contest after Hogan, Hall & Nash come out. They beat up McMichael, Beniot, Sting, and Luger. Flair and Anderson try to save the day, but they suffer the same fate. Hogan spray paints the letters N W O on everybody's backs. They take over the announcer's table right before the show ends.

*1/2

Thoughts: Eventually, NWO's attacks would get old. For a little while, though, they were fresh and riveting. The NWO would get so much heat, people would literally throw trash at them inside the ring.

7/10 overall.
