"Macho Man" Randy Savage (W/Miss Elizabeth & Woman) Vs Chris Beniot

Yes! Give them some time, please. Savage has the match won with the flying elbow from the top, but Ric Flair comes in and causes the DQ. After the match, Woman turns on Savage, proving the entire thing to bet a setup. The Horsemen beat on Savage until Hogan runs in with a chair for the save. This was a tad disappointing! It was certainly watchable, but not the solid match I expected. It started off a bit too slow and didn't get a chance to fully get going. Woman turning heel is very predictable. Highlight of the match is Beniot's sick bump. Beniot goes for a suicide dive through the ropes and nails the steel railing head first when Macho moves (Ouch!)

Gene Okerlund interviews Hogan about what went down. Before Hogan can fully explain things, Flair nails Hogan from behind with brass knuckles. Flair busts Hogan open above the eye and goes to do more damage, but Randy Savage runs in with a chair and makes the save. Savage berates Elizabeth for not warning Hogan and discreetly implies that Miss Elizabeth is in cahoots with Flair

Thoughts: Nitro is always about chaos.

The Taskmaster & Hugh Morrus (W/Jimmy Hart) Vs Arn Anderson & Brian Pillman

This is essentially heels vs heels. Pillman and Anderson win by DQ after Sullivan uses a strap on Pillman. This match was all over the place and hard to keep track of. I'd say The Horsemen are the De Facto faces in this feud.

Ric Flair (W/Woman) Vs Marcus Bagwell

Flair wins with The Figure Four. Flair keeps the Figure Four applied until Randy Savage runs down and brawls with Flair all the way to the dressing room. This was pre-buff days. I have to say, this match was better than I expected it to be. Flair made Bagwell look like a million bucks with Bagwell holding his own as well.

Tag Team Championship

Lex Luger & Sting Vs The Road Warriors

I can't believe they decided to give this away on free TV! Luger and Sting retain after Luger uses an illegal weapon given to him by Jimmy Hart on Animal to get the three count. This one didn't quite hit the mark, despite my high hopes. The story here is that Luger is a heel, but he's maintained his friendship with Sting. Sting is trying to straighten Luger out.

LOD say they want the want the winner of the match between Lex Luger & Sting Vs Harlem Heat at Superbrawl.

So much failed promise! With matches like Savage Vs Beniot and LOD Vs Sting & Lex Luger, you'd think this would be a can't miss episode. On the contrary, it's actually quite passable. It's terrific on paper, but the execution isn't.
