Disney CEO Bob Iger on Han Solo movie: “It’s gonna be fine”

5 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

With all of the crazy news surrounding the Han Solo movie these days, it’s hard to accurately gauge how this movie will turn out. With Phil Lord and Chris Miller actually being fired from the project (apparently because they believed they were making a comedy), and being abruptly replaced with Ron Howard, and even rumors that Han Solo star Alden Ehrenreich took issue with the creative direction of the film… how are fans not supposed to panic?

Well, according to Disney CEO Bob Iger, there is absolutely nothing to fear. Speaking to Screen Rant, the CEO had this to say: “First of all, we have a great cast, we have a great script and we have a great director. It’s gonna be fine. I’m very excited.”

Kevin Bacon says the 'Tremors' reboot is heading to Syfy channel

6 hours ago | ScreenDaily | See recent ScreenDaily news »

Exclusive: Pilot for horror series being made for U.S. network, according to actor.

Kevin Bacon has revealed that the Tremors reboot which he is developing with Oscar-nominated Whiplash producer Jason Blum is set to be made with Us broadcaster Syfy (formerly the Sci-Fi Channel).

“We are going to do a pilot for Syfy,” the Footloose and Diner star told Screen while at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, where he was attending a screening of Story Of A Girl, in which he co-stars.

Bacon originally approached Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum, whose horror credits include Paranormal Activity and Insidious, with the idea of reviving cult comedy-horror Tremors as a feature film, but the project is now being developed as an eight-episode TV series, which Bacon will star in and produce.

He will again be playing Valentine McKee, the Nevada handyman who tussles with gigantic man-eating sandworms.

Rumoured description for the new Justice League trailer includes Superman’s return

11 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Although there is no official word yet on a new trailer for DC’s November superhero extravaganza Justice League, it would seem to be a fairly safe bet that one is on the way to feature in front of Warner Bros.’ primary summer tentpole release, Christopher Nolan’s World War II epic story Dunkirk.

As it happens, Reddit user Dcvmarvel claims to have some inside sources who have spilled the beans regarding details on the new trailer. The user also mentions that Superman is featured at the end, which actually isn’t too surprising as DC will want uninformed viewers aware that the Man of Steel is returning. Anyway, below is a complete breakdown of the trailer, with Superman’s appearance noted at the end.

”The trailer starts with the same footage of Batman recruiting Flash, then logos (including the new DC logo). We cut to a montage of the team. »

‘Twin Peaks’ Review: Part 8 Aims for Maximum Weirdness and Succeeds

14 hours ago | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Last Week’S Review: Part 7 Leaves More Clues Than We Can Count as David Lynch Digs Deep Into the Past

Were there more than 20 lines of dialogue spoken in tonight’s “Twin Peaks”? All signs point to no. In perhaps what was the most existential and absurd installment yet of the surreal drama’s return, David Lynch’s attention shifted from a bloody confrontation in the woods to a journey through time and space that barely touched on the modern day. Instead, “Part 8” tripped back to the past for a largely silent (dialogue-less) series of events (it feels a bit much to refer to them as “a story” at this stage) that of course did not skim on harsh violence and strange mannerisms.

Everyone is going to come to Part 8 with their own interpretations and theories; it’s an installment which seems to welcome that. And pieces of it are more successful than others. »

But inevitably an 11th hour crisis derailed her big moment as Amy informed her boss that the library was going to be built on Yale University’s former slave quarters. Game of Thrones Fact Files: Tyrion Lannister

Tony Black counts down to the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere…

Imp. The Half Man. Master of Coin. Tyrion Lannister has almost as many titles as the Mother of Dragons he eventually covets, yet there’s an argument that the black sheep of the Lannister family is both Game of Thrones most tragic victim and its greatest hero in waiting.

Born the son of Tywin Lannister, staunch patriarch of Casterly Rock in the Westerlands and the richest man in the Seven Kingdoms, Tyrion was not only born a dwarf but his mother Joanna, Tywin’s beloved wife and cousin, died in childbirth. The younger brother of siblings Jaime and Cersei, it was a tragedy Tywin would never forgive him for, punishing and humiliating his son repeatedly across his life, including robbing him of a lowborn woman he loved and made his wife. Tyrion grew up not only suffering the scorn »

Team Experience's Dream Emmy Ballot!

25 June 2017 7:00 AM, PDT | FilmExperience | See recent FilmExperience news »

Emmy voting closes tomorrow evening, dear readers! Since Nathaniel and the team here at The Film Experience have been writing up our favorite FYCs of the past television year, we have decided to also do some fantasy Emmy voting of our own. Our own Emmy dream ballot has favorites you've read about here before, like nomination leaders Big Little Lies (7 nominations), Feud (6), The Leftovers and the conclusion of Looking (5).

That's a whole lot of love for HBO here at Tfe, with Veep also being our most nominated comedy at 4 nods. Might HBO earn similar success with Emmy itself, even though mainstay Game of Thrones won't be eligible? Will this allow for The Leftovers to finally get some love?

Jar Jar Binks lobbies Ron Howard for role in the Han Solo Stars Wars spinoff in latest Funny or Die video

25 June 2017 12:33 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Earlier in the week it was announced that Phil Lord and Chris Miller had been fired from the Han Solo Star Wars spinoff film due to creative differences. Essentially, they had gone way too far down the comedic route, which honestly should have been expected when they were hired, but I digress.

Everyone on the Internet has an opinion and they’re letting it be known on the news that Ron Howard will be taking over directorial duties on the project. And now, in a new Funny or Die video, an anonymous being that is totally not Jar Jar Binks is asking us to give the director a chance. This unknown person also thinks this movie is the perfect opportunity to bring back Jar Jar Binks. Check out the hilarity below…

‘Game of Thrones’ Characters Sing ‘I Will Survive,’ Even Though Most of Them Won’t — Watch

To remind us of the impending void, Sung by Movies has released a new video featuring “GoT” characters (many of them deceased, natch) singing along to Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.”
