Storyline

During a bombing mission over Germany in December 1944, Capt. Russell Keys apparently survives his plane crashing after seeing bright lights in the sky. After the war, he is plagued by nightmares where he is mistreated by strange beings. As the nightmares continue, he learns that 8 of his 9 crew members are now dead. In Roswell, N.M. in 1947, U.S. Army Captain Owen Crawford goes up against Col. Thomas Campbell who is hiding the fact that a flying saucer has crashed in the area. Crawford is determined to take over the project and sets about to undermine the Colonel's authority. He also learns that the aliens may appear in human form. In Texas, lonely housewife Sally Clark helps an itinerant, John, who she finds hiding in her shed. John moves on but Sally soon finds herself pregnant and is visited by Capt. Crawford. Quiet and well-done TV alien film
18 April 2009 | by (Russian Federation) – See all my reviews

I really admire most of the films that Tobe Hooper made during his bright and awesome career. This film is really commercial, but well-made project. The TV-series about aliens, produced by Spilberg include this part, directed by Tobe. The action takes place back in 40s USA and shows the story of American pilot who once was saved by alien space-craft, but could not remember that. So years later he starts his new life and family, when a huge space-craft falls from the space right near by and strange things starts to happen. There are not many special effects here, but those which there are- well-done and look realistic : the corpses of aliens, huge alien space -ship etc..

Good film for family watching . www.myspace.com/neizvestnostlab
