Dental Murder Plan
17 April 2007 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Reasonable episode of this docu-drama series, the drawback always been that you know well in advance how it will all turn out. As trail details are laid out right at the start of the programme and also on the sleeve notes on the DVD box. Still, it's satisfying knowing the murderer will get his comeuppance in the end.

The acting is standard and adds to the documentary feel. As always truth is always stranger than fiction as facts emerge as the story unfolds.

Another slightly annoying drawback with all entries in this series is the constant revising of events as the show progresses. I realise that this is because of the many advert breaks when the programme was originally shown on American television. But when seen in one unbroken 90 minutes, you do find yourself saying, "Yes, yes, I know all that already, just get on with it!"

But overall, these are entertaining shows delving into the darker recesses of the human condition. Since the only motive in this one is that the dentist is so mediocre he has to supplement his income with some other trade he was much better at, in this case, that turned out to be contract killing.
