I went to this summer festival last year. Drove to Brooklyn from Boston because one of my friends had a movie screening. I hadn't been to any animation festivals that were like this because everything in Boston is more like a travelling thing that shows the same popular stuff and not anything indie. Animation Block Party was very indie and showed a bunch of stuff over the weekend that I had never seen. After the screenings I bought both festival DVD's and really really liked them. I watched them with my friends when I got home and there were so many cool animations on them. The Binge and Purge short was cool, so was Unicornimation, which was also gross. I would recommend this DVD to any animation fan. I am excited for next summer's festival and plan to drive from Boston again. I hope they release another DVD. The website is cool too.
