Great casual game
23 February 2012 | by See all my reviews

Viva piñata looks like a little kids game, but it is much more than that.  I'm 17 and it's still one of my favorite games.

The game starts off with you in a small block off land and a shovel. As you progress through the game you unlock more items like the watering can and grass packets and shops. You use these items to try and get the right requirements to your garden so that wild piñatas will become residents.  Certain piñatas and plants will attract other piñatas which will get you more piñatas which you will then level and then your on your way to getting every piñata and becoming a master gardener.

There are lots of things to do in your garden like plant trees and vegetables, buy items and houses for your piñatas, have baby piñatas and much more.  Challenges appear across the way, from changing sour piñatas into your resident, destroying weeds, getting rid of the evil ruffians who are workers which will do anything to destroy your garden and many there are more difficult challenges as the game progresses.

The game is visually fantastic. The colors are bright and the background is so detailed. The piñatas have a great amount of detail and creativity put into them which really make you want to have certain piñatas your resident.

Overall I think Viva Piñata is great. It is very addictive, it really keeps you wanting to get all the piñatas and completing challenges across the way.  The game is like nothing you've ever played before and I think you should just give it a go.
