Trivia

The filmmakers shot one scene which was supposed to take place on the roof of the clinic and had Lisa, sitting in a wheelchair, drinking vodka and getting very drunk. She was working up the courage to commit suicide but Kerri intervened and eventually talked her down. The scene was eventually removed from the film two weeks before the film's World Premiere at the 2007 AFI Dallas International Film Festival. See more »

Just like real life
15 March 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Forget reality TV and reality movies. Director James McDonald's Divine Souls brings you real people in real situations with real problems and real solutions. It's what real life is like, with all of the emotional elements dedicated health care workers deal with on a day-to-day basis. Nancy Chartier, Kelley West, and the late Jeffie Legend head up a terrific ensemble cast in a skillfully directed and edited film that will touch you, move you and inspire you and in more than one place, touch your heart. If you don't shed some tears by film's end, you probably don't have tear ducts. - Vincent Scuro, Southwest Orlando Bulletin
