Martin Scorsese received the "Laurea ad Honorem" (honorary degree) at the DAMS University (Cinema Department), Bologna, in November 2005. He received this acknowledgment for his great contribution to Communal Cineteque of Bologna: he gave to it many titles coming from his personal collection of restored films, saving them from being lost. Filippo M. Prandi saw the proclamation and shot it with a Mini-DV camera. In the movie only afew seconds of the proclamation appears. In the special features DVD there's the complete ceremony.
