Quite solid actually, and lived up to the original series pretty well.
I have seen this twice now, and enjoyed it just as much as I did the 1st time. I'm not overly familiar with the original Saturday Night's Main Event, but I have seen bits and pieces, and it was really quite good. It was the perfect build up show for Wrestlemania 22, and the crowd wasn't too shabby either.
Handicap match. Kurt Angle&Rey Mysterio&Randy Orton Vs John Cena&Triple H. Rather ingenious idea here, having both main events compete against one another. Very solid match up here, with a lot of great mind games involved. Triple H leaves Cena for dead, but Cena prevails with a roll up.
Booker T is shown agonizing that he popped his knee, and can't work his scheduled match with The Boogeyman. Teddy agrees with The Doctor, and cancels the match. We soon find out it's all a rouse. And Boogeyman eventually ends up scaring the wits out of the two, while Teddy watches them both run off. Booker has great comedic ability and carries this one to an above average segment.

Edge is out for The Cutting Edge. Edge cuts one of his great heel promo's, basically calling Foley overrated. Edge gets disappointed when Foley don't come out, but when he does he lights the table, telling him to bring it. Foley gets the better of him, and gives him a payback conchairto. Solid stuff here all around. Edge proved why he was WWE's best heel at that point, and Foley is always great when he Up's his intensity.
Mark henry comes out and says he is not afraid of The Undertaker, and will in fact be the one to beat his streak. Undertaker has something to say about that. He chases off Henry, and not only choke slams Davari, but tombstones him on the Casket as well. Above average stuff here. Short, but sweet.

Beer drinking Contest. JBL Vs Stone Cold. I love me some Stone Cold, and almost all his segments are gold, even the routines ones, like this one. Austin looks drunk already, which makes this even more amusing. JBL tries to cheat, but Beniot throws him back in, and is all set for Austin's mercy. Austin does his thing at the end, to the crowd's delight. Great stuff.

Mickie James& Trish Stratus Vs Candice Michelle&Victoria. Too short to make any impact, and it was more for storyline buildup then anything else. Memorable for Mickie's psycho turn, and I must add it's one of the sexiest things I have ever seen, LOL!.
Street Fight. HBK Vs Shane McMahon. Solid, but underwhelming street fight, way too overbooked. Lot of great bumps, especially the suplex off a ladder, through the table. Unnecessary reliving of the Bret Hart screw job is done at the end of the match.
Bottom line. Very solid edition of SNME. It lived up to the original quite well, and made for some very interesting buildup. Wrestling fans will no doubt enjoy a lot of this stuff.
