The hunt for Debbie's killer continues, the original list of suspects is changed, with a new addition, and one fatally removed. Boyd and Grace break a trust with Frankie in order to get to the truth. Grace shows her benefit to the team as she tackles the case in a calm and measured manner.
A shame that series creator Barbara Machin penned only this two parter in addition to the pilot, and I think her in depth knowledge of the characters, their behaviours, motivations etc, pays dividends, Boyd is now showing signs of becoming the ill tempered, irascible man we all know and......love.
There are some fantastic guest performances, Tessa Peake Jones and Lee Ross really stand out, both are standouts for me, both I would consider hugely capable comedy actors, but both proving their range and depth, superb. A shame Simon Kunz only did the one series as DAC Ralph Cristie, I liked the character play between him and Boyd.
One of the best episodes of the show, it was dramatic, deep, dark, well acted, intriguing, down right creepy, it had everything, no wonder so many watched it. 10/10
