***SPOILERS**** Private investigator Mike Barnett doing undercover work for the FBI gets himself involved in a major truck hijacking ring that cover as many as 12 states! Getting together with FBI agent Frank Baker Barnett plans to catch the gang in the act by them hijacking a truck he and Baker are driving loaded with rolls of valuable silks as it crosses state lines giving Baker and the FBI a legal reason to make the pinch or arrest!

With the hijackers working for Don Victor grabbing the truck and kidnapping both Barnett and Agent Baker, who later escape, the FBI set a trap for them where their to unload the cargo that leads to a confrontation at a deserted drive-in movie theater in and around the Jersey Meadowlands. Not much of any resistance offered by the hijackers but being a hero Barnett takes his life in his hands by jumping on the speeding truck, and possibly falling off and breaking his neck, that Don Victor tries to make his getaway which could have been easily prevented-without a shot being fired- by the FBI as well as police at the scene.

Despite being a cracker-jack private investigator amateur boxer and judo & martial arts expert, as well as racehorse handicapper, Barnett also took time out to learn to drive convincingly an 18 wheeler in this "Man against Crime" episode that will help him in the future if he ever looks for another job to keep him busy. As for Don Victor and his gang the future waiting for them is 5 to 10 years in the clink-prison-with no hope-in being convicted by a federal court of an early parole!
