This short and snappy little documentary gives a pretty interesting and illuminating behind-the-scenes glimpse at the making of "Snakes on a Plane." Among the subjects covered herein are how the film was made to be a nonstop roller coaster ride, the plot combines two key things people fear the most (i.e., snakes and flying), that the characters are archetypes who represent a varied cross section of folks, the assembling of an ensemble cast, how tough guy federal agent Flynn is the perfect role for Samuel Jackson, the use of both live and CGI snakes (in fact, certain actors and actresses left the auditions when they were informed they would be working with live snakes), simulating turbulence with a special hydraulic lift system, the difficulty of shooting the picture on a cramped and confined set, the underlying tension intrinsic to airplane movies, and how the cast members got banged up quite a bit while working on the set. A fun and enjoyable documentary that's well worth seeing for fans of the flick.
