How Could He Not Realize

Much of this episode is about a relationship Hodgins had with a victim's wife. They were actually once engaged. Because he wanted to be involved in the case, he didn't come forth. Of course, once a suspect was arrested, his actions were going to be exposed. And they were. To the point where this became a firing offense. Everything depended on the verdict. Booth becomes a total ass, having no respect for what Hodgins went through. He seems to conveniently forget that Hodgins has been responsible for saving Brennan and others with his acuity. But that's sort of a typical "what have you done for me lately" thing that happens on TV dramas.

Denial

So Booth is asked to quit wearing his flashy ties, socks, and belt buckle. Why? It's an experiment - to get to the truth of why he behaves the way behaves. In this episode, Hodgins messes with evidence because he had a relationship with the victim's wife. Booth is livid when he learns the truth and thinks he should be fire right away. I'm still not exactly sure why Jack got off so easily...he almost screwed up the entire case.

Brennan is dating the FBI agent she worked with in the previous episode and is thinking about sleeping with him. The ending scene between her and Booth (along with another scene played earlier) shows that Booth is denying any sort of love interest in Brennan, but he knows it's there...

When I watched this show the first time around, this frustrated me. But this time I think I understand their reason for ignoring their attraction to each other. They have something really good going - something that hardly anybody gets in this life. They don't want to mess that up...

Its ok Booth you can say you're in therapy it won't make you less of man. Come on Hodgins did you really expect noone would find out? Glad to see Sully aka Peanut back. Yes as we've seen Booth isn't fond of the rich. Great guest stars this week to name a couple Reid Scott as Robert ( he's in season one of Why Women Kill which I highly recommend) and Ernie Hudson as David who's a legend. I love that Angela saved the day with "Puddly." The verbal butt kicking from Caroline was just perfect and amazing. The line of the ep for me "Sex, socks pretty much the same word" lol.

Hi Bones Booth! Two things made this episode, the furthering relationship between Brennan and Sully and Caroline's rant. Of course, I'm waiting for the day that Boones get together, but this Sully detour is entertaining. I love how he convinces Brennan to come to his basketball game by using anthropology. Hodgins is lucky the rest of the Jeffersonian team is so good, because he effed up. I mean, everyone has kinda effed up royally in the last few episodes (except Booth, that shouldn't have been thrown in his face). "Gettin' blown up because you go grabbing for things you shouldn't ought" is a line that cracks me up every time! Caroline is so good at putting everyone in their place. I could listen to her rant all day! I find it difficult to give any episode a rating less than 10/10, so I won't!

Booth annoyed me here

I really enjoy this series but this episode irritated me. The dynamic of all the characters is so good and well written that it's great getting lost in the episodes. Of course it's a little obvious when "there is only one spot in the country that has this dirt" or whatever that it's a little hokey but who cares. This episode annoyed me because of the Booth/Hodgins thing. Booth is so angry at Hodgins for disrupting the crime scene and compromising evidence, but he was totally fine doing the exact same thing when Bones was in NO and he picked up her earring when she was suspect #1. Like I said, I love this show and all the characters but I found myself annoyed at that point. Oh well, lol.
