Trivia

The situation that Vice President Daniels faced (possibly going to war with Russia) and the overall outcome, shares similarities in plot line with the 2004 Konami video game, "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater." In both scenarios, America and Russia are at odds over Russian personnel and technology. The Russian President is negotiating with a newly appointed Former Vice-President and the issue is resolved by the actions of a lone operative who is forced to take down a parental figure. Ironically enough, the character from the video game (Codenamed "Big Boss), is the main character in the 2014 Konami release "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes and is voiced by none other than Kiefer Sutherland. Goofs

When the F-18 pilots fired their missiles at the oil rig, the lead pilot said (on the radio), "Fox 1, Fox 2." When fighter crews engage in air combat practice, the pilot calls out "Fox 1" when he fires a radar guided air-to-air missile (or a simulated air-to-air missile) and "Fox 2" when he fires (or simulates firing) a heat-seeking air-to-air missile. In reality, he would not call out both of these in quick succession like this. See more »

Jack Bauer: In case you've forgotten, I'm very good at disappearing - and if you try sending someone after us I'll kill 'em. Pretty good at that too.

Great conclusion of sixth season
22 May 2007 | by (Netherlands) – See all my reviews

The sixth season had a lot of twists and turns we expect from "24". Like the other seasons many things happen and you never expect something to happen when it does. To bring in the whole "Bauer" family was nice to see but did make me wonder a little. Jack has have to inherit some genes from his father,so how could it be that he is the exact opposite. Maybe we will find out in a later season that Jack was adopted. Anyway this season was as exciting as ever with some major flaws. The threat of a real disaster ended to early for my taste. Once the Fayed story arch ended the following episodes weren't very thrilling. So a new threat arrives. Somewhat forced but it worked out. I really liked the last episode. It was more believable and fitting than the ending from the fifth season. Jack realizes who he is and what he has to do!
