If you can get past the dodgy accents, it's a half decent episode.

Marriott attends a travelling Texan Circus with his lady friend, Felicity. After show ends, The Circus owner is found bound and gagged, the contents of his safe gone, Marriott is given a chance to prove his worth, and lead the case.

A bit of a drawn out affair this one, it's possibly the weakest episode I've seen so far, I wasn't keen on the story, and the accents at times were just too artificial, it almost felt like a parody of a drama.

On the plus side, it made a nice change to see Marriott getting a free hand, Cork is sidelined for the most part, here seemingly just to get his appearance fee, Gaunt is great as always.

The scene involving Marriott getting involved in fisticuffs in The Saloon bar look pretty good, with Gaunt and co hurling themselves around with a bit of vigour, so much so that some of Gaunt's whiskers seem to drop off.

I'm not too sure I could have seen Gaunt with Felicity, there's no way he'd have been able to put up with her absent mindedness.

6/10.
