- TriviaThis was filmed, according to the hoardings on the newspaper vans, during the London Bus Strike which took place between the 5th May and June 20th, 1958.
- GoofsFleet Street is within the City of London and is therefore policed by the City of London Police who would have attended the scene and investigated the robbery, so D.I. Maguire attached to the Mets would have not have attended, or been involved in the investigation.
- Crazy creditsDial 999 is made with the co-operation of the Metropolitan Police and the Citizens of London.

An imaginative mystery.
A trio of criminals plan a daring way to rob £20,000 from The Evening News.
It's definitely an audacious crime, very imaginative, although you'd wonder if any sort of security would have been enforced when carrying the wages about.
I liked the scale of it, once again London's visuals offer a great deal, and the glimpses at the newspaper press are also very interesting. Apparently filmed during a bus strike......that seems to fit the bill for 2023.
Charley and Freddy are a good couple of villains, Michael Ripper and Wallas Eaton are great as the duo of rogues.
The issue I have, I can't make out if Maguire is perceptive, using his Detective skills, or somehow mixed up with the occult, and using a crystal ball, he solves this crime as if he's Mystic Meg.
Overall, a little far fetched, but the characters make up for it.
