(This means, of course, that a memory loss patient could be manipulated to pass every syllable of Western Civilization during their morning constitutional, which is known as the 'Garbage in, Garbage out Principle.') The metadata for this page indicate that virtually EVERY Dizzy Corporation Animation ever completed is somehow referred to during SILLY SYMPHONIES REDISCOVERED. So hats off to the film editors here; may they never be caught deceased on Fifth Avenue when a fake president is firing a fake gun.

A nice but short overview of the Silly Symphonies.

I have no idea why this film currently has such an incredibly low rating on IMDB--3.2. This would seem to indicate that this short film is terrible--which is certainly not the case. This DVD extra was included with "Walt Disney Treasures: More Silly Symphonies" and gives a very general overview of the series--the history, the art, how it influenced later films, etc.. None of the information on "Silly Symphonies Rediscovered" came as a huge surprise, but to folks who buy the set, it's a wonderful overview and would perhaps best be seen before you watch the accompanying shorts. It is informative, well-constructed and worth your time. My only quibble is the very short length. At under 15 minutes, it just felt like too little--and I would have loved a more in-depth discussion on the shorts in the series.
