This is a short film that was created as a special feature for the DVD set "Disney Rarities". It makes sense, as the Alice films make up much of the collection--and the film consists of Leonard Maltin interviewing the amazingly youthful Virginia Davis--who played the original Alice from these cartoons. The set is minimal--with a couple Alice movie posters hung about the two. For the most part, this is a short that would probably not interest the average viewer--as the average viewer couldn't care less about silent cartoons. However, give it and the Alice shorts a chance--they are pretty clever and fun--and hearing from Virginia about how they were made and her experiences making them is something film buffs would love. I appreciated it because it finally explains why Davis was eventually replaced by another child.
