In the first scene of the wraparound, Mad Jake (Jason Carter) arrives to visit, the mentioned but not seen, Ol' Man Wilkeson, named in memory of the original bass player of the Southern rock band "Lynyrd Skynyrd," Leon Wilkeson, who died in June of 2001.
