I Wonder if Many People Remember the Box Top Thing
At the World Economic Council meeting, it is revealed that the world's economy is teetering because of the counterfeiting of Boxtops. There was a time in our country when people collected boxtops and traded them in for products. Now a counterfeiter (Boris, of course) is wiping out entire grocery stores, drug stores, hardware stores, etc. The FBI is called in. Unfortunately, Bullwinkle has been collecting the things forever and has even inherited some from his late uncle. He is arrested because he is in possession of so many. This is the lead in to the next series of episodes.
The Aesop story is the Hare and the Tortoise. It isn't the one we know but rather a study of an eating disorder as the Hare can't stop gobbling up everything in sight. He falls into disfavor with the tortoise when he request he be fired from the grocery store for his slow delivery time.
Dudley Do Right continues to arrest Snidely Whiplash but the slimy villain always get away. He ends up kidnapping most of the Mounties, Inspector Fenwick, Nell, and, most of all, Dudley's horse. Dudley is trusted to save the day and bumbles his way to a conclusion.
