Okay then. And the award for worst title of Afm goes to ... The Dead Undead. We hope this moniker makes sense in the context of the flick because it doesn't make much sense otherwise. Read on for art and details.

For decades a group of vampires have been living peacefully in a small, remote town feeding on animal blood. All is well until several vampires become infected by diseased blood. Zombie Apocalypse Shows its First Viral Teaser Here!

Today is a good day to be a zombie fan folks, as The Asylum and director Nick Lyon (Species: The Awakening) have debuted the first teaser trailer for Zombie Apocalypse. There are make-up effects, pitched battles and actress Taryn Manning in a shower scene, all in under two minutes. The clip shows solid production values and The Asylum, from the promotional material, seems to be backing a winner here based on the story and the cast. Also starring are Ving Rhames (Dawn of the Dead), Gary Weeks (Deadland), Johnny Pacar (The Dead Undead) and Lesley-Ann Brandt (InSight).

This title will debut on television first through the SyFy Network. The first air date is October 29th at 9:00pm and this is just two weeks after the premiere of "The Walking Dead." Perhaps there is a competitive air afoot. Then, not much later, The Asylum will release this title on DVD December 27th. »

Statistically speaking, you’ve probably made a zombie film. Everyone does, students mostly. They’re just so cool, and there’s something about the undead that resonates with those who sit indoors on sunny days watching horror films. Perhaps there’s an unconscious affiliation between the two. Staring mindlessly at screens and all.

They’re also very malleable. Zombie invasions are great backdrops for other, more human, dramas. Arguably, this is what the best zombie films do. The Dead Undead’s unique selling point is that its zombies are not normal zombies. They’re vampires infected with a zombifying virus.

This article is for all the b-movie zombie fans out there, who are waiting for something to sink their teeth into. The Dead Undead brings zombie vampires to video-on-demand July 1st, through Phase 4 films. This is a title that has been called silly and audacious (Ballistic), so keep your expectations low while remaining optimistic. The Dead Undead is from first time director and stunt coordinator Matthew R. Anderson and actor Edward Conna; there will be explosions! Luke Goss stars and this title was completed in 2010. So, prepare for a vampire war with the undead in just a few weeks.
