An interesting turn to the "sixth sense" idea. Warning: Spoilers
AN INTERESTING TURN TO THE "SIXTH SENSE" IDEA.

Somehow, this episode seems more creative and original now, 30 years later, that when it was in the air for the first time in the 80's. With so many movies and series approaching the idea of a "sixth sense", having this episode in which Cheetara is aided by her intuition to get in touch not with another organic being or with some kind of astral realms, but with an alien spaceship is very, very interesting. The most similar approach I can remember corresponds to the early days of Chris Claremont's X-men and New Mutants era, with a character called Cypher who was able to speak all languages and communicate in every conceivable way.

Another interesting point is that, even when we have all seen and read dozens of story lines where machines are supposed to feel some emotion, with the exception of the stories coming from the X-Men and New Mutants comics I just mentioned, I don't remember another story where a person can actually feel the emotions generated by a machine and simultaneously translate those emotions to human language.

It is also something to notice, how while Cheetara and the Thundercats try to save and understand this machine that somehow has a kind of conscience, when the evil Mutants put their hands on it, they gave themselves a time span of 24 hours to get some useful offensive tool out of it....or destroy it. With many interesting little details, this chapter is a rare jewel for Thundercats fans and sci-fi lovers in general. It is important to say too that this is one of the very few episodes starred by Cheetara, which makes it very dear to the whole 80's cartoon lovers generation.

PD: As a bonus, I really enjoyed Vultureman saying to Lion-0 that Monkian would destroy the alien spaceship as " Monkian has no feeling for discovery or progress" because Vultureman is my favorite among the 4 Mutants and Monkian the very less favorite.

Thanks for reading.
