Of all the trials designed by the Thundercats to anoint Lion-0, the Trial of Speed against Cheetara is the one more obviously traced to give the young applicant to "Lord of the Thundercats" a realistic chance to win (IMO), against a very unequal rival as we had seen Cheetara being amazingly fast in comparison to all the other Thundercats.
Nevertheless, Cheetara in principle is just so fast in very short distances, so, to begin with, they were given a long trajectory to follow, they'd be at the competition all day. Also, right from the start, Lion-0 chooses a different route, one much shorter but with greater dangers (a decision that was completely expected by Panthro, Tygra and Snart that were monitoring the competition).
That said, we had a good competition where Lion-0 had to fight against the weather, cannibal flowers, more cannibals (or they seem like it, we don't know because they did not eat Lion-0), some pirañas, a stinky cemetery, a whirlwind, etc...
And finally, both tired and with a similar probability of winning, Lion-0 and Cheetara run the final 5 miles to the finish!!!!!!!
If Lion-0 manages to succeed in this race against Cheetara, then it will the turn of the Thunderkittens and then Tygra... -...and next???
