The Lady Who Went Too Far
Prismark1026 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It looks like David Main has met his match in the snobbish and despicable Mrs Hilary Wenn (Joan Greenwood.)

She is not happy that a young couple are building a house on land next to her. It spoils the view from her home.

Mrs Wenn will tie them up in litigation costing the couple money as they are not eligible for legal aid.

David Main has little time for Mrs Wenn but then needs to cosy up to her. It seems the law firm overlooked that the couple built on part of her land, a mistake no one seemed to have noticed.

A potential negligence suit for the firm. Later Mrs Wenn gets the builders to knock the house down.

She plans to bankrupt the couple so they are forced to sell the land.

David though sees a chance to get even. It seemed Mrs Wenn moved a peg while building work was going on, hence why the house was partly built on her land.

David knowing that Mrs Wenn is determined to buy the land at auction instructs Sidney Bulmer to drive up the price.

Joan Greenwood seems to be having a whale of a time playing such a horrid character.
