Out of all the episodes this is my all time favourite!
24 September 2009 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

This episode is in one word amazing. It has beautiful vibrant animation, great dialogue, and fantastic music. Ariel has a dream of having two tails after seeing a ballerina dance, and meets another mermaid who dreams to sing after hearing Ariel sing. This episode has a beautiful heartwarming story, that is completely original, and never falls into slushy sentimentality. As I've said, the animation is vibrant and colourful as always. Ariel is one of my all time favourite Disney characters, Sebastian is very funny here and Gabriella is such a wonderful supporting character. Out of the voice cast, it is Tony Jay who stands out as the Starfish, playing a good guy here. I want to say that the best part of the episode was the song that Ariel sings Daring to Dance. It is a gorgeous song with a great message, I will admit is one of my favourite songs of all times, and Jodi Benson sings it so beautifully, you just want to sing with her. Perfect in every way. 10/10 Bethany Cox
