Brian Parsons is a loner who is bored at home and a little rebellious.
He is in awe to two bad lads. They are a few years older than him and rope him in to a warehouse burglary.
The night watchman is injured and all three are arrested.
Harriet is bought in to the case as Brian's mother is a cleaner at the courthouse.
Brian admits to the burglary charge but not injuring the night watchman. The other two plead not guilty to all the charges.
It turns out that the night watchman is a poor witness and the two older boys are found not guilty.
It leaves Brian at the mercy of the court with the burglary conviction. At the end of the episode Brian blurts out that he was not even in on the burglary.
Brian's problem and his mother should had known better. As a minor she should had got him a lawyer at the police station. There is plenty of mileage in saying no comment.
Harriet liked Brian's mother but found the son to be unruly and difficult. I guess it was teenage angst.
