After All, What Is a Lie?

Warning: Spoilers
Dr Moody's do gooding has landed him into trouble. Maybe he should heed the advice of Sir John Gallagher, it often tends to benefit the giver than the receiver.

Dr Moody has been supportive of his patient Joan Bradley and her children. She is an attractive woman and devoted to her husband Tom in prison for violence.

Tom Bradley is convinced that his wife is having an affair while he has been inside. He escapes and confronts Dr Moody but decides the best way to get revenge is not by his fist but get his wife to complain about inappropriate behaviour with a patient.

Dr Moody faces a disciplinary hearing with Sir John defending him. Harriet appears as a witness knowing that Joan is lying to save her marriage.

I thought this was a plodding episode. Maybe in the 1970s a doctor and a barrister living in sin might be seen to be controversial. However it would be some tribunal that is not going to believe Harriet's version of events.
