When Ann arrives in Philadelphia, we see a bygone Philly landmark, a large sign one could see when approaching 30th Street Station; "WELCOME TO PHILADELPHIA AND GIMBEL'S".
Three newspapers are consulted to see the play's reviews, one was the Philadelphia Inquirer, another was the Evening Bulletin (1847-1982) and the third was a prop fictional paper.
At the end of the episode, Ann and Donald are seen coming down the steps outside Pennsylvania Station. The original Penn Station was torn down more than four years earlier to make way for Madison Square Garden. The steps Ann and Don are descending are most likely outside the Farley Post Office, across from and identical to the original Penn Station.
