Storyline

The time is 1940. In the harbour of Quay South, a derelict sea-port on the north-eastern coast of England, lies a blockship, the "Ebb Tide". Captain Thwaite, her skipper, lives in the local pub with his bitter, frustrated wife. His fight against the blind tyranny of circumstance and an Adjutant, who tries to take over the blockship, makes a most moving and dramatic story. Written by Anonymous
