Storyline

Che drags Seth into helping him try to free a captive groundhog on the eve of Newport's annual Groundhog Day celebration, and both get into a bind in the process. Che is then forced to call upon Summer to help them, leading to a meeting of the minds with Che over his prospective "soul mate." Meanwhile, Sandy plans to throw a 40th birthday party for Kirsten who gets some life altering news from a local doctor. Taylor seeks assistance from a therapist over where she stands with Ryan. Kaitlin assists Gordon Bullett who returns from a business trip and plans to propose marriage to Julie, neither of them are aware that Julie is secretly seeing someone on the side: Ryan's father Frank.
