Fun Stuff

Trivia:
The license plate number for Hiro's father's limo (played by George Takei) is NCC-1701, the number for the USS Enterprise from "Star Trek" (1966) on which Takei played Mr. Sulu. more
Goofs:
Continuity: When Mrs. Bennet is dialing you can see Sylar's hand in the background as he lifts his finger. But in the next shot he lifts his finger again and the phone is finally thrown out of Mrs. Bennet's hand. more
Quotes:
[first lines]
Peter Petrelli: I don't see how petty theft is part of my training.
Claude: There's a lot you don't see. You've no idea how to use these gifts of yours properly.
Peter Petrelli: Yeah, and you know.
Claude: Right now your ability only shows up as a reflex, automatic, like swallowing. That's a dog's trick. Making it a conscious choice, using it. That's what makes you more than poodle.
Peter Petrelli: Is insulting me really going to help me learn to do this?
Claude: Listen you're the one who is a bomb threatening to go off and blow up me and everyone else in this city unless I can get you housebroken.

This was a good transitional episode with Claire meeting her mother and viewers finding out who her father is in the last few seconds. A completely unexpected scene involving Peter, the Invisible man (Claude) and a taxi made this viewer's jaw drop. Interestingly, Matt Parkman made no appearance in this episode, although previews of the following episode don't necessarily bode well for him. Yet another use of the word "Hero" came from Sandra Bennett, and who she was talking to was a bit of a surprise. Star Trek Fans take note: the license plate on Hiro's father's (Mr. Nakimora, played by Star Trek Alum George Takei) was NCC-1701.
