Miss Partridge visits Louise and Cheryl after their bereavement, now caring for their brothers alone, and persuades them to go to Social Services. When they return to class, late, Mr. Bronson is about to give them detention for being late, but Ant Jones stands up to the teacher, but gains a day's suspension for his trouble. The next day, Laura finds Louise upset in the toilets - a social worker is going to take her family into care. However, a later meeting with Social Services suggests that they may be able to stay at home, and still effectively be in care. The Speaking Wall becomes a receptacle to display malicious gossip and general graffiti, so Danny intends to paint it over. Roland talks to Zammo about how he wants to go to France for a year. When the subject turns to what he witnessed in the Amusement Arcade, Zammo angrily denies that he takes drugs. Ziggy is nice to Jane, to make up for accidentally soaking her clothes in swimming, but she finds out, courtesy of Calley. She ... Written by Geffers
